I definitely took one for the team last Thursday! There was no way I could have known last fall when NALA Campus Live! courses were being scheduled that at noon on March 21, 2013 the Michigan State Spartans would be playing in the tournaments — so I said, “A NALA Campus Live! course? Sure, noon on March 21st works for me!”
Well…I was whining today! Since March Madness is no excuse for cancelling a course, it went on as scheduled (with rave reviews, thank you very much!) — and MSU won without me.
The lesson is that you never know what will come up so you have to go ahead with your plans and just make things work.If you say “No” to opportunities “just in case” you’ll have something else to do, you’ll miss many adventures.
